Note: Number attending  = number of K-2 children attending. Don't count parents. Children grades 3-6 register for Homework Help, not Reading Buddies.

Children in grades K-2 are invited to work on their reading practice with members of the Teen Advisory Board. Children meet with their teen Reading Buddies with support from Ms. Cheryl and Jess. Teen Buddies listen to children read aloud then chat with them to practice comprehension. Teens assist but are not trained to teach reading or select books for the child. Parents should send their child with books geared to their child's reading ability and frustration tolerance. Weekly on-time attendance is expected since a teen volunteer will be coming each week to meet specifically with your child.

You sign up for all the spring sessions (weekly 3/5 - 4/30 except off 3/26 for spring break). We sometimes can accept walk-in students at 5:40 p.m. as we have space, first come, first served. Registered students have priority until that time. 

Only register your children who are in Grades K-2 here. Older gr. 3-6 register in a different group, Homework Help, not this one. For number attending, count only the number you're bringing who are in Grades 3-6, not parents or K-2 siblings.

If you can't attend a certain date, we need you to call the library to let us know: 513-398-2711, message to Ms. Cheryl or Jess. Don't cancel your reservation here or it will cancel your ENTIRE SERIES!! If you miss 3 times and there is a waiting list, your child will be unenrolled.

Parents registering multiple children: When you register more than one child, you'll be able to enter information only about the first child. Our calendar will register the additional children as Guest 1, Guest 2, etc. with no option to fill in specifics. Put the second child's info in "Other" so that they get their own name, grade, and learning info. Sorry for the trouble.

Parents are expected to remain in the library during Reading Buddies.
