Family Story Time
Children of all ages are invited to join our children's librarians, Ms. Cheryl and Jess, for an interactive session of bedtime stories, songs, and activities. We adjust the content each week to match the age and wiggliness of the children attending. Typically, we gear the story time to preschool and early elementary children with songs and activities to engage toddlers and babies.
Parents should plan to attend with and actively engage their preschoolers, toddlers, and babies to help them learn how story times work and how the books connect with their lives. Our themes change every week.

- Children under 3 years old: Caregivers must remain in the room. Children 3 & over: Caregivers MUST remain in the library.
- Children attend Preschool Solo Time independently while caregivers relax nearby. We introduce classroom skills and independence using our familiar story time format. Children often need a gradual approach to attending solo. You may want to start by attending Friday’s Books & Bubbles together, then watching a Solo Storytime or two through the door. Repeat as needed if the child is nervous.

- Siblings & nursing mothers are always welcome in our Board Books & Bubbles, Toddler, and Family Times.
