Summer Reading

Register online @ https://www.masonpl.org/read50 starting Tuesday, May 27, the day after Memorial Day. Pick up a game sheet at the library or click here to print one at home

Choose your goal. You track either books or hours. Parents are welcome to adjust goals to fit their child's ability.

  • Hours - best for fluent readers. Choose HOURS if your books take longer than 1 hour to finish.
  • Books - best for parents reading aloud and picture book readers. Choose BOOKS if your books take less than 1 hour to finish.

Pick up your Reading Necklace, this year's Medallion, and a token for free frozen custard from Culver's at the library starting June 2nd.

Early Bird Prize: Check in by June 15 for a chance to win a ticket to Kings Island.

Track your progress using a paper game sheet. Bring it to the library so that you can pick up your beads and grand prize entry slips as you make progress. Trade plain beads at our Summer Reading Hub to collect rare and high value beads for your Reading Necklace. Earn collectible beads by attending programs.

There are Grand Prizes for Children and for Teens.
